Aiyanna seemed to not need a reason to put on sudden, random, short bursts of speed during a break between waves of rain … but I could share her need for sudden bursts of exuberance!
It has rained. Over five days, we have gotten at least THREE inches of rain. Now, for those of you who get 3 inches of rain in a single storm, think about this: It could take us months and months to add up a total of 3 inches of rain. Last winter, I think, we didn’t get even 3 inches of water moisture from the little bit of snow we got. That much rain, for us, is a huge amount of our annual total.
It’s sloppy. It’s muddy. It’s soggy. It’s messy. It’s mushy and gushy and slippy and slidey.
It. Is. Awesome. (I might already have said that in a previous post. It’s still true.)
Also hope you’re not tired of Buckeye’s band; I’m trying to stay off the muddier ways until those ways get a bit drier. Buckeye’s band has cooperated by being not too far from the road these wet days. I didn’t want to post regular ol’ dry pix from even a few days ago (before the rainy days) while it’s clearly completely different conditions currently. Today, we should return to sunshine … and we may even see some snow at higher elevations!
Aiyanna doing mustang zoomies! I don’t blame her – I feel like doing zoomies myself with all of this magnificent moisture!
Ha – yes! The zoomies! She had ’em … but that mud makes every step a bit of an effort. 😉
What beautiful colorations she has! Awesome rain!!
She’s lovely, right? 🙂
What a pretty gal! So very happy for the rain and mud!
Probably most people think we’re nuts for loving mud, but when you don’t have it, you sure appreciate it! 🙂
Are you serious? I can’t get tired of a single horse I see every day let alone a band of mustangs. I saw a beautiful thing yesterday, completely random. A guy was dragging his trash against the wind down his 1/4 mile driveway out in the ranch area south of town. He was holding onto his hat, clearly not happy. He didn’t know that behind him, across the fence, four horses were following him thinking it was the greatest thing in the world that the human was out there, too. I’m sure they had no idea he wasn’t having a good time!
Now that made me laugh! 🙂 I bet those horses thought he had cooked up some new entertainment, just for them! Ha – that’s funny. 🙂 Fun for you to see it happening!
I think so! They were all “Oh boy!!! This’ll be great!”
From your description, I can totally *see* this in my mind’s eye. Oh, it makes me laugh! 🙂 (Poor human.)
